Something I love about newborn sessions is the slower pace, hearing all about how life with baby is going (I really do love hearing all the details!), and of course hanging out with the new parents and their sweet little babe. They’re especially fun when I get to reunite with friends from that I haven’t seen for too long, like Emily (aka, Carsten’s mom: the name she’ll be most known by from now on)!

Emily and I taught at the same school for a year and I so enjoyed when I got to see her and chat about life. I was so excited when she reached out about capturing this fleeting, hard, precious time in their lives with Carsten. We talked all about new motherhood and life since teaching together, and it was wonderful. Thank you for inviting me into your home, Evan and Emily! Your sweet girl is one lucky lady to have you two as her parents.
